As a filmmaker, David is most proud of:
(1) making a “get out the vote” video that helped flip CA-25 in 2018
(2) camera operating with indigenous water protectors at Standing Rock
(3) making a decent feature film for $60k.
David co-wrote and consulted on an animated pilot at Disney, and has directed pilots and shorts with actors Marc Maron (GLOW), Jake Johnson (New Girl), Derek Waters (Drunk History) and Rhian Rees (Halloween). As a video artist and writer, David participated in shows at SSSLA and Kayne Griffin Corcoran galleries, and his films have been official selections or won awards at the following film festivals:

David also produces his friends’ films and programs for film festivals in his spare time. He wrote about sneaking into Werner Herzog’s Rogue Film School for Flavorwire Magazine, and once orchestrated a West Hollywood Sheriff Department sting operation to arrest the person who stole his camera.
